  • It stands for ‘No Person Left Behind’.

    The founders of the organization were inspired by the military's guiding principle of leaving no one behind and sought to embody that value within the organization. By including "NPLB" in our name, we are reminded of our commitment to serve those who have served.

  • Our program is available to all wounded, injured and ill combat veterans with a service-connected disability - regardless of era.  We serve all branches of the military.  Certain events may be restricted to those with higher disability ratings and others are exclusively for Purple Heart recipients

  • We are a privately funded non-profit and rely exclusively on the generosity of donors. Most of our funds are generated by private and family foundations, corporate partners, individual donors, and community fundraisers held across the country.

  • No! Our program is absolutely free to all of our veterans.  There are no strings attached and no expectations for any type of repayment.

  • This percentage can vary from year to year, but our goal is to ensure at least 90% of our donations get allocated to program expenses, while investing a small portion of our donations into fundraising and administrative expenses to ensure our organization remains sustainable for the future. We are a top-rated charity by independent watchdog organizations like GuideStar and Charity Navigator.

  • No.  However, we have volunteers all across the country. While all of our programs are hosted through our headquarters in Maryland, we routinely host events throughout the United States and other parts of the world. It is possible to designate your funds for certain areas or events.  Please contact us for additional information.

  • To protect the privacy of our veterans, we cannot share their contact information. However, we may be able to facilitate communication by passing your contact information to the veterans when appropriate.

  • We are a grassroots organization committed to keeping our overhead low by minimizing advertising expenses. While we aim to increase our national exposure, we firmly believe that your contributions should be directed towards our programs and supporting veterans. You can assist us in reaching more people by spreading the word about our mission.

  • Yes, we do, and our list of corporate partners continues to grow. You can learn more about them on our Home and Partnerships pages, and we encourage you to support these businesses as they support our troops.

    We respect the privacy of our sponsors, just as we do with our veterans, so we won’t disclose specific details about our partnerships. Each sponsorship package is tailored to meet the unique needs of the corporation. Some sponsors offer monetary contributions, while others provide services or in-kind donations, and some contribute a combination of both.
